that race we got the answers coming up on New York Fourth. 2008 ComicMix News. Todd McFarland came back, started off Spawn in a new direction, and it paid off. Spawn number 185 is completely sold out in comic stores. There was a Spawn number 185 second printing coming with apparently a new cover,

more details to come sometime later this week from Image. I-Verse Media has collected their first wave of titles of comics that are now for sale in the iTunes app store. Pop creative talents and some familiar names here including Flash Gordon, Proof, Shadowhawk, Oz the Manga, Wrath of the Titans, and Gold Digger as well.

These are things that will all be available for the basic fee of about 99 cents each. And if you'd like to give it a try you can get Proof number 1, the Return of Shadowhawk, Wrath of the Titans number 1, and Oz the Manga number 1 all for free this week from I-Verse in the iTunes app store. David Lindsay O'Barry, best known in our world as the guy who's writing the upcoming musical

Shrek for Broadway, as well as a couple of other things, is in the midst of negotiations now to be writing Spider-Man 4. This at least according to The Hollywood Reporter, all you already know Sam Raimi and Tobin McGuire are already signed up for the fourth movie as well. No confirmation though from Sony as to whether David will be the writer.

Hi, I'm Summer Blair and you're listening to ComicMix. What's coming up this is Just This Week. Let's give you something new to pick up right off the bat. It's cool. First Bet Bet belongs to a guy named Joe Staton doing amazing work on a little book called

Femme d'Iroir, The Dark City Diaries. Published on a regular basis for May Entertainment, right now it's a four issue series where up to issue number three. Shouldn't be too hard to get the first couple of issues and it's a real interesting book. Give it a chance.

From Boom Entertainment this week, Hi Rollers number four that winds up that one. Salem number three, which is the four issue series and Station number four, which is a five issue series. There's a Warhammer condemned by fire, trade paperback and hardcover. And Zombie Tales number seven from Boom with a couple of different covers as well as Zombie

Tales War at Home, which is a one shot and again has a couple of different covers. Speaking of varying covers, there's two or three that are involved with the first issue of Call from Dark Horse that'll be a six issue series when it's done. There's the Aliens Omnibus volume five this week from Dark Horse, Gigantic number one. That's a five issue series.

The Mr. X Archives hardcover, some great stuff in there from Dark Horse. And the Rex Mundi trade paperback volume five as well as Star Wars Rebellion, volume three, subtitled Small Victories. From TC this week, speaking of your bookshelf that are having at least two rows open, Absolute Sandman the hardcover this week comes from DC.

That's volume number four. And continuing the new Krypton storyline from Superman, an old title makes at least a return for one time or another. Venture Comics special with Guardian this week and that comes in a couple of different covers and ties into the Superman books.

There's Army of Love though Art of War number four. That's a six issue series from DC. Authority number four, the Booster Gold series contained in the second volume hardcover, this one called Blue and Gold. Those Mike Sakowski 1970 Wonder Woman stories contained in a trade paperback.

The third volume of that this week is out. There's all the Oblow number three. That's a six issue series. First issue of another Final Crisis tie in, Final Crisis resist this week. The Gen 13 to trade paperback third in that series as well.

Also Hellblazer presents Chaz the Knowledge winds up with number five in a five issue series. Also from Vertigo, House of Mystery number seven. There's Jonah Hex number 37. Justice Society of America number 20, which continues to have variant covers along with

that one. There's a new Teen Titans archives volume four and the Nightwing Freefall trade paperback. There's the question at trade paperback involving some of the early great question stories from DC. And that's volume number three.

Sandman Dream Hunters begins a four issue series this week from Vertigo. There'll be a variant cover on that one as well. And there's Secret Six number three. Billy Tushy's Sergeant Rock the Last Battalion premieres this week. That'll be six issues when it's done.

It's being a Wonder Woman. There's a showcase volume with some more late fifties, early sixties Wonder Woman stories. That's volume two in that run. Storming Paradise hits number four. There'll be six of that when it's done.

There's the Superman Supergirl Maelstrom mini series this week. Number one now five issues to go before it's done. Superman versus Brainiac stories that range from the sixties right up to the nineties all in one volume. That's in trade this week as well as Teen Titans year one and our next best bet.

The buddy Amanda Connor along with Jimmy Palmagli finally bring Terra to a mini series. Been heard about this one for a long time. First issue this week. It'll be four when it's done. We get the Terra Titans number two.

That's a six issue run. Top ten season two continues with issue two in that four issue run. And of course another Trinity this week. That's issue number 23. The Unmanned trade paperback continues.

Second volume in that run and Vixen return of the lie and another mini series. Five issues when it's done. We get issue number two this week. Finally this week, if you have not got it already, now's the time to do it. A couple of beautiful different versions of Watchmen.

There's a Watchmen hardcover and the absolute Watchmen also continues in a new printing this week from DC. Let's move down. The Devil's do. Dragon Lands Legends continues this week.

The time of the twins series winds up with issue number three and again a couple of different covers there. Odd Squad hits issue number three and again a couple of different covers there as well. From Dynamic Forces this week, Jungle Girls season two number one. There's a Frank Chow.

Very hard to get a variant cover there. If you're lucky enough to grab that one. But a regular one should do as well. From Gladstone of the All Ages group gets an Uncle Scrooge this week already planning ahead for the Christmas stocking.

Here you go. Uncle Scrooge number 381 also Walt Disney Comics and Stories number 686. From IDW there's the Angel Onda best trade paperback this week. Fishtown's in a hardcover this week. Mac Boland the Devil's tool.

One of the better trade paperback action heroes. Available from IDW and again this week in a trade paperback volume. Star Trek year four the Enterprise Experiment. It all contained in one trade paperback from IDW. As well this week you get Grant Morrison's Doctor Who number two.

Transformers Best of the UK Time Wars number four and Transformers Spotlight on Blur this week from IDW. From Image the best selling Back to Brooklyn hits issue number two. Better grab that one. It's five issues when it's done.

We get the first of the Drain trade paperbacks. Gemini number three this week. That's a five issue series. Gorilla's number two which is a nine issue series. We get the first of the Impaler trade paperbacks.

The Liquid City graphic novel. Lucha Libre number six and that winds it up for Image. Over to Marvel one of their more interesting experiments. Adam Legend of the Blue Marvel number one begins. It'll be four issues when it's done.

Amazing Spider-Man continues. 576 is the issue this week. The Avengers Initiative special. Cable number eight. Civil War House of M number three.

That is a five issue run. We get the Counter X trade paperback. Third volume in that collection. Daredevil and Captain America dead on arrival. Another one shot this week.

Keep Captain America going. Should be interesting. Speaking of Daredevil, Frank Miller and Klaus Jansen's work collected in a trade paperback this week. If you've never caught that here's your chance to do it in a nice collection.

Again the first volume of that one. Speaking of great classic stuff. The essential Hulk trade paperback number five is this week. Franklin Richards, Son of Geniuses. Another Franklin one shot.

Always a favorite this week from Marvel. Invincible Iron Man number seven and we also get another one shot Iron Man book. This time Iron Man End. There's the Iron Man hardcover which is the art of the movie if you are so inclined to do that.

And also this week the Last Avengers storyline that's contained in a trade paperback. Marvel Illustrated begins kidnapped. It'll be a five issue run this week and you can also get the collection complete of the last of the Mohegan series. That's in a trade paperback.

Marvel 2 in 1 hits number 17. Marvel Zombies 3 hits number 2. That's a four issue run. God and Country is the subtitle of the latest Moon Knight trade paperback. There's the Ms. Marvel special storyteller series this week.

That's actually a one shot from Marvel. There's the Punisher War Journal annual number one. The Submariner miniseries depths continues. We get issue three. There'll be five of those before it's done.

Also this week our next best bet. If anything's going to bring attention and save the ultimate universe it'll be the Ultimatum series. It begins right here. It's five issues when it's done and there's a couple of different variant covers on that

one as well. This week we get the Venom Dark Origin number four. Five issues in that Spider-Man spin-off when it's done. Weapon X first class number one. There'll be a three issue series and there's a variant cover there.

More Wolverine in a one shot called Wolverine Chop Shop and Wolverine Power Pack begins a four issue run. There's a Wolverine X-Men magazine this week and X-Men manifests Destiny number three. That's a five issue series containing that entire storyline of X-Men. X-Men Pixies and Demons a director's cut this week.

Kind of an unusual turn to do that right off the bat. That'd be an interesting one shot for X-Men fans. And one more. There's X-Men Spider-Man number one this week which will be a four issue mini series. Big move of release this week on DVD.

Steve Carell's Get Smart. A couple of different versions of that one. Also this week on DVD there's Transcyberian and then a whole bunch of repackaging. First of all you get both of the Star Wars trilogy package. One two and three.

Four five and six in two different respawn collections. There's the Bourne trilogy this week as well. How the Grinch Stole Christmas repackaged again. A redone edition of the Final Countdown. You can even go so far as to get a special edition of Waterworld.

No comment intended. Also a new edition of Pee Wee's Big Adventure. There's a Blu-ray reissue of Planet of the Aids this week as well as Jean-Claude Van Damme's Universal Soldier and the slightly icky Caligula. A new movie that looks into the life of Johnny Ramon called Too Tough to Die finally on DVD.

Two new animated releases this week. First of all the next Futurama movie is out called Bender's Game and the third volume in the Popeye series. Again capturing some of the great material from the early 1940's. That available this week as well.

From TV a few good things including Shrek the Halls. A great special that was ran during the holiday season last year. Now on DVD this year. Primeval from BBC. A series that we have not talked about a lot but certainly has some interest.

That is complete this week on DVD as well. Project Runway season 4 is out Route 66. Season number 2 is available this week as well on DVD. And there's JEG season 7 and Spin City season 1 on DVD. ComicMix radio.

ComicMix.com. ComicMix timeline November 4th. Down at the drug source this week Bad Band number 228 was worth that 25 cents. We spend a lot of great old stories in there. Flop down another quarter for DC special number 10 which had Stop Yet Can't Beat the Law.

And a lot of great stories from the old Gangbuster series in there. We got Hot Wheels number 6, House of Mystery number 190, Jack Kirby and Jimmy Olsen number 135 this week. Strange Adventures number 228 was also a quarter with a lot of great old stories in there. And we got Superboy number 171.

Over to the Marvel side of the rack we got Daredevil number 72, Thor number 184. Astonishing Tales continued to have K-ZAR this was issue number 4. We had Captain America number 134 with Cap and the Falcon. Barry Smith doing his best in Conan number 3. There was Monsters on the Fowl number 9.

Outlaw Kid number 4 in this special Marvel edition. Had some great old Thor stories in issue number 2 of that. And if you want to put down two quarters you got the first issue of the magazine size Psycho number 1 from Skywalk. 1970.

In the news it was the day after the elections it was an off year election with Democrats gaining strong leads and planning for a big comeback in 1972. Statistics released showed it was safer to travel to the moon than it was to go between any two cities in the US. And actress Jane Fonda was arrested at a Cleveland airport when pills were found in her luggage

she allegedly kicked a police officer. In the movies all the cool kids were seeing Little Foss in Big Halsey with Robert Redford. The big people were looking at Lovers and other strangers and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Harper Streisand was in on a clear day.

Lee Marvin was in Paint Your Wagon. And a lot of theaters teamed that film up with another starring the duo. One day little girl the sadness will leave your face. It was true grit. On TV tonight episodes of The Advocates, room 222 Hawaii Five-O.

The storefront lawyers, courtship of Eddie's father and a Johnny Cash special with his guy. The antelope at night makes me sad. Yet brings me down alright. Apparently hear the song over the screaming of Bobby Sherman doing Julie D'Aluvre.

1970. On the radio a group from Washington DC that absolutely typified the R&B sounds that were all over the charts in the early 70s. Ever produced by Van McCoy a guy who later on would have a hit called The Hustle. The song 5, 10, 15, 20 years of love.
