Cressida: Dream Warrior

A naked flame against the darkness

Cressida is on a mission. As a Dream Warrior, she must save the City before unspeakable horrors devour it whole. But will her magical hair and fiery spirit be enough to stop the monsters from the Place Between? And can she defeat her own demons in time to save the day?

“Step into a spellbinding tale of courage, wonder and unexpected love. The main character,

Cressida, is a skyclad, rotund, fiery-haired Dream Warrior, charged with defending the worlds

from malicious entities. Halfway through the story, the whimsical realm that Cressida inhabits

collides with the grit of our world, as Cressida works to protect Earth from threats. Beautifully

illustrated and full of fearsome creatures, heroic choices, and magic in unlikely places, Cressida:

Dream Warrior manages to maintain an enchanting, quirky tone throughout the story while also

tackling real-world issues like trauma. I would recommend it to all lovers of surreal fantasy.”

– Mary Walz, author of Firebrand

“A richly illustrated, imaginative romp through a multi-verse of dreams with a powerful, feminine

superhero who discovers her humanity in the mistakes she makes and in the value and comfort of

friendship. I will definitely want to read any future sequels.”
