I wonder does Hallmark make a card for that? Hi it's Mike Raub of ComicMix Radio. Do they also make one that says, Happy Anniversary? Your website is very, very cool? Well, they should, because here at ComicMix we're damn proud of what we've done over
the past year and we're excited about what is just a few clicks around the corner. What is that? Well, we're going to tell you coming up on January 14th, 2008, ComicMix News. Talk up number three in the sellout department for Wildstorm's World of Warcraft. It continues to sell out from DC.
Issue number three is now gone. There'll be a variant of this on the way in just a couple of weeks, this time featuring a black and white version of the Jim Lee cover. Okay, if you want to follow along, here's where things stand right now. World of Warcraft 1, 2 and 3 all sold out.
There's a second burning hopefully in your comic stores of number one and two. Number four is scheduled to hit the stores in very little time on February 20th. That'll be a fifth issue in March and issue number six will be along in April. Seems like we've been talking about this forever, but finally Sony TV's new spectacular Spider-Man series debuts.
It takes place on Saturday, March the 8th. 10 o'clock in the morning on the Kids WB on your local CW network. There'll be two back-to-back episodes that day and if you remember our stories from over the past year or so, this series takes Spider-Man right back to the beginning. He's a teenaged, he's a nerd and some of the original characters are along as well,
including Liz Allen and villains like Electro and the Vulture as well. This time portrayed voice-wise from Robert Englund, the guy you know best as Freddy Grueger. Again, the show debuts on March the 8th with a full hour to one half hour episodes back-to-back and then every week a 30-minute episode on the Kids WB on the CW. Well precious, it wasn't necessarily just about The Ring.
I think it's now going to be about money. The estate of the Lord of the Rings creator, J.R. Tolkien, is suing the film studio that released the movie trilogies based on his books. The writers estate is a British charity called The Tolkien Trust and the original Lord of the Rings publisher Harper Collins had filed a lawsuit against New Line Cinema.
They say that New Line has not given them one penny toward what's due them with the gross receipts from those films. They say they were supposed to get 7.5% and the films supposedly have reaped some $6 billion worldwide, at least according to information they were able to determine. Right now if this hits court and there's a big problem, there could be another big problem down
the right. For Peter Jackson who's scheduled to direct the next sequel, that's to begin in 2010-2011 and it was to be a two-part film series based on The Hobbit. Hey everybody, it's playing catch up now that the writers strike has ended. Just about every day there's a new list of shows that are or are not going to make it back.
CBS has announced a bunch of original episodes that are on the way and those of interest to people here on the site will include March 17th when we get to see How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory back, each with nine episodes. Moonlight returns with four episodes on Friday, April the 11th and Ghost Whisperer returns with six episodes on April the 4th.
NBC has announced a few returns including 30 Rock, The Office, Scrubs and ER all on April the 10th. However, don't look for series like Journeyman and Bionic Woman to return at all. Pretty much gone and Chuck, Life and Heroes won't be back until the 2008-2009 TV season in the fall. And just a little Valentine's love for the day. ABC.com is sharing their particular love with digital Valentine cards featuring photos of the
stars from hit shows like Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty. They also have a series of video montages of some of those shows' steamy love scenes. Meanwhile, a little more G-rated over on the Cartoon Network. There's Chowder, which is gonna host a mushy marathon all day long today. Starting tonight at 6 o'clock which will feature love-themed episodes about Jimmy's head,

Hi and welcome to the very first ComicMix podcast. My name is Mike Raub. It was just about one year ago plus a few hours that we hit the button for the very first broadcast here at ComicMix and that was just one part of the big debut of ComicMix.com. On our first time together, we brought in Mike Gold, editor-in-chief of ComicMix,
to talk about what was ahead for the site and why it was going to be different from all the other ones out there. Well, a year later those questions continue to be answered each and every day right here at ComicMix.com but what about the future? What's coming up? Once again, Mike is more than willing to take on that question.
Over the course of the past year ComicMix has managed to grow to the point where we're now posting brand new comic series every day Monday through Friday and we're getting ready to even expand beyond that and we're just a heartbeat away from expanding to add literally tens of thousands of pages to the website. And that alone is a huge step.
ComicMix is going to become a focal point for people who need to know or want to know anything about comics in any way, shape, or form. We're going to be vastly expanding the different types of websites that are affiliated and associated with ComicMix and a lot of name folks in the comics business are going to be working with us, are working with us now. And we're going to be adding more in the way of sort of daily comic strips. I know that sounds
a little strange but we're going to be adding a special page that will be changing and growing every day. And again, just as in the past, ComicMix is not about just one thing. We really have just a wide variety of stuff coming up that we're extremely enthusiastic about. We have already vastly expanded our news coverage and that is going to continue.
We're going to be directing people more towards different types of stuff that has been very successful and very well received on ComicMix during the first year, particularly with our Doctor Who coverage and with certain specific movies that are coming up. So really, it's been amazing. We haven't been just sitting around eating bonbons. We've added to our staff rather immensely and we're really excited.

habit of hitting the drugstore and going to these newfangled comic bookstores this week. When we did it was a week for DC that gave us Adventure Comics number 481 with another dial H for hero story. Batman and Green Lantern were in Brave and Bold number 174 and then we got Green Lantern number 140 as well and Wonder Woman 279 and Superman 359. It was a short week for Marvel this week with the stars of the story being Daredevil number 170, Iron Man number 146
and of course Uncanny X-Men number 145. In the news 40 people were killed in a fire in a Dublin nightclub. High fuel prices forced the inflation rate up another full percentage point in the US and the United States filed a protest with Russia saying that that country violated their embassy in Moscow. In the movies Lily Tomlin did Double Duty. First she was in The Incredible Shrinking Woman. She wasn't in Forte Panchita Bronx which was a lucky thing for her and she was in the movie
that produced a hit song as well as being at the top of the box office this week. Tomball out of bed and I stumbled to the kitchen for myself a cup of ambition and yawn and stretch and try to come to life. Jane Fonda and of course Dolly Parton too along in 9 to 5. TV Tonight had Tim Conway's Variety Show, an episode of that plus a couple of short-lived shots at series like Walking Tall and The Concrete Cowboys and more variety as well with Barbara Mandrell and her sisters.
