Sanctum Eclipse

Sanctum Eclipse is a tightly woven mix of fact and fiction in lyrically intense poetry that rather serves as an invitation to another intrepid realm. Collectively these poems serve as a powerful collection of science poetry at its best. Angel Favazza is a poet who fully engages in the world and with language, and makes no concessions to political correctness or the industry of consolation. Instead, Favazza fearlessly explores outer space and the human condition through her own emotions, zestfully exposing the thoughts we usually hide from others and even ourselves. Favazza pushes the boundaries of traditional science fiction and can’t keep herself from going right to those dark edges, whether she is writing about the entanglements of human life, the challenges of our place within the universe, or, as she so deftly does in several poems, both at once. The result is a poetry collection that is innovative, unforgiving, and honest.
