Super Motoconcho

Description

In every neighborhood, there’s a secret hero, even if he rarely wears a cape or drives a futuristic car. Sometimes he drives a 70-liter engine with a basket full of groceries, sings a made-up dembow, and knows by heart all the routes where they sell the cheapest gasoline. Thus was born Super Motoconcho, the first Dominican comic strip where the everyday becomes epic. Roddy Pérez invites us to a universe where lightning from the sky merges with the electricity from the grocery store, villains argue like customers at a cockpit, and magic appears on the walls drawn with chalk by children. Between laughter and suspense, this book reinvents the superhero genre from the corner, the sidewalk, and the grocery store. Here, true power lies not in muscles or millions, but in the united neighborhood, in the collective imagination, and in the laughter that weathers any storm.
