After the Grindhouse doubleheader films came out in theater, one of the big questions was whether any of the movie trailers for fake films would lead to real movies. There’s no Machete on the way yet, but at least one of the properties will be expanded. Just not into a movie. Cinematical reports that Werewolf…
To some, it may seem unusual to find Max Brooks, the author of the very popular novels The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z at a convention devoted mostly to comic books. But really, it isn’t that hard to understand. Both of Brooks’ books deal with zombies, a very popular creature among comics and…
I have to admit, I’m a bit torn about the upcoming, four-issue Marvel Apes miniseries. On one hand, it’s nice to envision a post-Marvel Zombies world. Even though I enjoyed the original Zombies stories (and a few of the dozen-or-so subsequent spin-offs, tie-ins and one-shots), it’s long past time to put the living dead back…

Magician/comedian Teller (of Penn and Teller fame) recently produced this short film about the potential impact of a zombie outbreak on the denizens of Las Vegas. It’s a great indication that the silent half of the Penn and Teller duo might be just as funny if he said something once in a while. While all…
The ShockTillYouDrop crew has posted an interview with legendary "Living Dead" filmmaker George Romero about his upcoming film "Diary of the Dead." The film, which chronicles a movie crew’s escape from zombies on the day the dead returned to life, hits theaters Feb. 15. With movies like "Cloverfield" proving that there’s still interest in the…
Zombie movies are nothing new. Nor are zombie movies with attitude. But there’s been a preview making the rounds of a movie about a bunch of zombie "eliminators" called Z•E•R•O, or Zombie Emergeny Response Operations for long. Possible another section of the Department of Homeland Security that isn’t being talked about. Unlike most such pre-distribution…
