www.ComicMix.com I've been touched by the warm hand of nature. You know that usually only happens if you make a new friend on the Internet here. Hi and happy spring. It is Mike Raub with another new week of podcasts. Welcome into this big stack of new comics to talk about today.

What says happy spring more than a big stack of comics you can curl up with inside where it's still nice and warm. We'll take a trip back to see Barbara and Trapper John and a whole bunch of other cool news too all on March 20th, 2007. VH1 is launching a brand new interactive comedy this week produced by Jack Black. It's called Acceptable TV. It premieres on the 23rd which is at 10 p.m. at night.

Now every episode consists of three to five minute pilots that will air and then afterward the same pilots are going to be hosted at Acceptable.tv. www.acceptable.tv for you to see that. For three days they'll be there for viewers to give a chance to vote on their favorites. The two receiving the most votes will return with new segments the following week. Something kind of interesting and again it premieres on the 23rd, 10 o'clock on VH1.

CBS has another new pilot called I'm in Hell which Carlos stars as Jason Biggs, the guy from American Pie. The premise begins with his character dying going straight to Hell and since Hell is pretty full he's kicked back to Earth to try and do some good here. I wonder if they ever read the spec. Well there's more news out on Marvel's Annihilation Conquest in addition to the six issue miniseries we told you about starting from November through April of next year. There are also four tie-in miniseries and those are going to contain issues featuring Wraith, Quasar, Nova and Star-Lord.

Super Adaptoid is going to be the major villain in that series. Well the centennial of Milton Kniff's birth is being celebrated by D.W. Publishing who's doing a fully authorized six book series collecting the entire Milton Kniff, Terry and the Pirates adventure strip. The Sunday pages will be in their original color, the dailies in black and white. The story introduces young Terry Lee, his adult pal Pat Ryan, their sidekick Connie and all sorts of great characters including Dragon Lady. And volume one is to be published in July containing more than 800 consecutive strips from the series beginning from October 1934 through the end of 1936.

Cate Blanchett has joined the cast of the new Indiana Jones, a fourth in that series according to the folks at the Hollywood Reporter. No idea what character she's going to be playing but again that movie is set to be released May 22nd, 2008. What's coming out this is this week? Well I hope you made a little money shoveling snow this week if you were in that part of the country because there's a lot of good stuff coming out in the store starting with another issue of Conan from Dark Horse Comics that's number 38. Yes, surprise surprise 52 makes it in again from DC this is issue number 46.

Aquaman hits number 50 this week with Sword of Atlantis. Kind of an interesting book that I think you're going to want to take a look at it's called Army of Love. It's well let me put it this way you got to look at it things understand what's going on from this but it's an interesting cut for DC and we certainly applaud them for taking a chance at this one. Batman Confidential number four Birds of Prey number 104, second issue of George Perez and Mark Wade on Brave and the Bold. Deadman number eight coming out this week and also the first volume of the Deadman trade paperback called Deadman Walking.

You may want to do that if you have not caught up on that new Vertigo series. Deathblow number four as well as the Deathblow variant edition check with your retailer about that. Detective Comics number 830, The Fastest Man Alive, Flash collected all in a trade paperback the first eight issues or so plus the new issue of the Flash that's number 10 this week. Ion number 12, final issue of that miniseries. Justice Society of America number four and the variant edition you know what to do about that. The Red Menace number five from the incredible Jerry Ordway. Robin wanted trade paperback some of the recent Robin stories all collected that you're going to want to check out if you've missed that.

Shadowpack number 11 and yes another trade paperback Shadowpack the Pinnacle plot also collected stories if you haven't been following Shadowpack. A big thick showcase presenting the very best of the early issues of Hawkman that's volume one. Fourth issue of Dharma Cook's Incredible the Spirit and Supergirl number 15 rounds it out from DC. And will there be any more splurging today? Battlestar Galactica's Zarek number three and Battlestar Galactica classic number five all coming from our friends of Dynamic Forces.

As well as the fourth issue of the Darkman Army of Darkness team up. Girls number 23 great book from Image this week hero by Knight number one a lot of talk about this on the internet if you've not heard about it. First of all do a little research and put it on your list I think you're going to want to check it out. First issue this week from Image. Global Causes number 28 from Marvel Amazing Spider-Man number 539.

Cable Deadpool number 38 Civil War Battle Damage Report just to add to your Civil War stack. Exiles number 92 Ms Marvel number 13 Runaway Saga that might be good to pick up as you get ready for Joss Whedon to take over that book. Spider-Man Birth of Venom Trade paperback again required reading before the movie comes out. Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane Alderman Power number four of course this week X-23 Target number four. And a whole bunch of other X-Men books including X Factor number 17 and X-Men First Class number seven.

Now when you put down the comics and turn on the tube some great DVDs this week Blood Diamond is coming out in both a regular and a special edition. Aragon this week Rocky Balboa in case you passed on to theater you may want to take a shot from Netflix. The Nativity Story and the Dukes of Hazzard the Beginning they're apparently doing Dukes of Hazzard movies directly to DVD now and this is the first one. Batman Beyond season number three and also from TV Miami Vice seasons three and four all coming this week on DVD. ComicMix.com ComicMix timeline March 20th 1972.

All right comics there was more great 100 page super spectaculars for just about 50 cents starring with Superboy number 185 this week. Golden Age Flash made an appearance in Flash 215. Brave and Bold hit number 100 and celebrated with four secret guest stars in case you still haven't read that we're not going to tell you about. Also this week from DC the second issue of Joe Kubert's Incredible Tarzan. At Marvel, Marvel team up debuted with number one this week. Barry Smith did Avengers number 99 and The Beast was in Amazing Adventures number 11. In the newspapers President Nixon called for strong tough prosecution to crack down on dangerous drug traffic and a 100 pound bomb blew up in a crowded area of Belfast killing six.

In movies you had a wide range of stuff to see including The Godfather, Cabaret and one movie that was highly underrated. You know I know I don't seem to be a very romantic person. I'm not looking for romance power. Oh. No I'm looking for something more important than that. Something stronger.

As the years go by romance fades and something else takes its place. Do you know what that is? Listen Elodie. Trust! That's what I meant. Listen what do you think I am if it's a ripe fruit you can squeeze the juice out of it and cast aside?

It was called What's Up Doc believe it or not Ryan O'Neill and Barbra Streisand but still a funny funny movie. Trust me Netflix this one you will not be sorry. On TV forgettable shows like Boldwinds, The Sandy Duncan Show and The Sixth Sense and halfway good ones like Maud and then Hawaii Five-O, Bonanza and This One. Do I understand that the priest of this outfit has just won a weekend with a nurse in Tokyo? It's a prayer come true. Those two they're ruining this war for all of us.

Still those early years were among the best. On the radio a bunch of guys with an over processed guitar that still sounds good. I guarantee you're bopping your head already to this. He writes about the fact that he's been seeing all the promotion for Countdown and The End is Near from DC and those buttons that are circulating all the conventions.

Jimmy Olsen really gonna die says Ulysses. He says he's been around forever. What's the deal? We of course have no answer to that. That's a DC thing we'll find out in the months to come. But you're right Jimmy has had a long history. He started out as just a copy boy with no name in Action Comics number 6 way back in 1938. Then he appeared by name for the first time in Superman number 13 in 1941. During the Silver Age of course Jimmy had his own comic. It ran several issues probably about 140 or 50 or so as I recall. And those stories were kind of cool. They were a little campy a little goofy but I tell you when you read them again they're almost sweet to overuse a term.

If you have a chance grab the Showcase Superman family that came out a few months ago. There's some great Jimmy Olsen stories in there and hopefully when they get to the second volume there'll be even more of those. And then of course Jack Kirby came along at the end of the Jimmy Olsen run did some great issues with that and that's available in the trade paperback from DC as well. As far as the future who knows is he gonna die? Well you never know. Somebody must have had a big mouth. And I guess I know that big mouth is you.
