Opus Gets Classy

Salon.com has added Berkeley Breathed’s weekly Bloom County spin-off Opus (or is Opus an Outland spin-off?) to its plethora of political and cultural features. Other comics on Salon.com include Tom The Dancing Bug, WayLay and The K Chronicles. To celebrate the occasion, our pal Douglas Wolk did up a major interview with Berkeley. where the Pulitizer Prize winning cartoonist reveals the details of his secret romance with Vice President Cheney.

Sadly, in every silver cloud a little rain must fall. The Opus movie, long in production, is a goner. This leaves Mr. Breathed with only two other movies in active development.
