! Hopefully you'll have a little time over the holiday weekend to sit back and enjoy some comics as boy there are some great ones. Starting with what Dave Simms has been doing with Aardvark, Van Himes, Glamour, Puss. Good time to jump on here with issue number 4 this week.

Arden Entertainment has Flash Gordon number 3 and then from Dark Horse, the Berserk Trade Paperback volume 26. Probably the Vampire Slayer number 19 and the End League number 6 as well as Star Wars Legacy number 30 and then our first best bet. A lot of movie talk about this series but that's not the reason to pick it up.

It's just good and here's a great place to jump on to the Umbrella Academy with a new mini series this week starting with Umbrella Academy Dallas number 1 and a couple of different covers as well available including one by Jim Lee. From DC there's the Bad Latch mini series collected in a trade paperback then another best bet.

Oh you may not agree with what's going on in Batman but you do have to admit that it is going to have some effects on the future of the DC Universe. This is the issue where pretty much everything comes to a head. Batman number 681 if you're going to continue to read Batman you're going to want to grab this one because you're going to need to know.

It's available this week with a variant cover as well. Batman Gotham After Midnight number 7 this week in the 12 issue run also the Batman Rules of Engagement trade paperback. There's Birds of Prey number 124, Blue Beetle number 33, DMZ number 36, Ferryman number 3 in a 5 issue run.

The Ring, Quest, Green Lantern and Chorus stories collected this week in a trade paperback. Jack of Fables number 28, JSA Kingdom Come continues with another special this week this time the Kingdom number 1 that has a variant cover. Things winding down for the Legion of Superheroes in number 48. There's Madame Xanadu number 6 which again has a couple of different covers.

Northlanders number 12, Push number 2 which is a 6 issue series. An 8 issue run it is for Keith Gibbons Reign in Hell this time we get number 5. The Beauty of Joe Cuber continued in another great showcase volume. This time showcase presents Sergeant Rock second in that run. There's a sloth trade paperback this week then another best bet.

Alright this one you pick up because it's just a good story but it's also going to have some effects on the DC Universe as well. Things going on in the Superman books that get better and better here's a great place to check in. Superman number 682 and again with a variant cover on that one.

There's Superman Batman vs Vampires and Werewolves number 4 in a 6 issue run. Dane Titans at number 65, Trinity of course at number 26. There's the Unknown Soldier number 2, The War That Time Forgot number 7 in a 12 issue run. Wildcats number 5 and Wonder Woman number 26 which also has a variant cover from DC.

Devils 2 gives its draft to number 12 as well as the first in another Dragonlance Legends trade paperback series this time is Time of the Twins. There's Echo of the Damned number 1 in a 4 issue run. Sheena Dark Rising number 2 which has a whole bunch of different covers. Over to Dynamic Forces for Garth Ennis Battlefields Night Witches number 1 that's a 3 issue series

as well as The Man With No Name number 5. Man of Graphics comes out with Comics Journal number 294 and then from IDW. Dreamland Chronicles second volume trade paperback there. Galaxy Quest Global Warning number 4 this week from IDW as well as the Hyperactive trade paperback collection.

Transformers All Hell Megatron number 5 and Welcome to Hoxford number 4 from IDW. From Mh The All Ages Adventures of Spawn number 2 there's a Body Bags one shot a lot of people are talking about you better grab that one fast. Savage Brit number 10 Bruce The Little Spruce in a hardcover for the holidays this week. Dragon Prince number 3 which has a couple of different covers.

Beautiful Coffee Table Book Fantastic Worlds of Frank Frazetta in a hardcover this week. There's Golly number 3 from Image Proof number 14. Savage number 2 which is a 4 issue run. Savage Dragon number 141 Transhuman number 4 winds up that 4 issue series and there's Walking Dead number 55 from Image.

Over to Marvel for Captain America number 44 which has a beautiful busema variant available if you're lucky enough to catch that. The Captain America Death Stories are continuing to be collected in premium hardcovers. This is volume number 3 in that run. There's Daredevil number 113, Ghost Rider Danny Catch number 2 in a 5 issue run.

Guardians of the Galaxy number 7 which has a variant cover just like Hulk number 8 which also has one. There's Incredible Hercules 123 then for the all ages group Marvel Adventures Fantastic 4 number 42 and a Marvel Adventures Iron Man Digest collection as well as Marvel Adventures Super Heroes number 5.

There's Ms Marvel number 33 the new Avengers 8th premium hardcover begins the collection of Secret Invasion stories this week. New Warriors number 18, Nova number 19, Runaways 3 number 4 and speaking of Secret Invasion couple of series wind up here. Secret Invasion Inhumans number 4 and Secret Invasion X-Men number 4 wind up the 4 issue

runs there. There's She-Hulk 2 number 35, Scar Son of the Hulk number 5, Thor Man of War another Thor one shot this week, True Believers winds up at number 5 this week. There's also Ultimate Spider-Man number 128, Ultimate X-Men number 98, Wolverine First Class number 9, Wolverine Origins number 30 and X-Force number 9 as well as a couple

of X-Train paper packs. X-Men First Class Band of Brothers and X-Men Legacy divided he stands. Alright here's the big question how many of these DVDs are going to be available with prices sliced for Black Friday well we'll see. In the meantime start your list with Hancock finally on DVD with a bunch of different versions

including a really nice special edition. So out of the theaters there is Meet Dave the Eddie Murphy movie on DVD this week, Holiday Fair from last year includes Fred Claus the one with Vince Vaughn, there's Charhead the Kingdom and also available this week Direct on DVD, Beautiful Ohio an independent movie that got some play in parts of the country and then some interesting stuff some things

that were on TV well less than just days ago. Now available this week on DVD including 24 the Redemption the new 24 movie and the Stephen Colbert Christmas Special the greatest gift of all if you missed it well it's available on DVD. Also a couple of notables including the Superman Doomsday cartoon available in the special

edition this week really nice packaging on that one on DVD as well. Freaks and Geeks the yearbook edition a great TV series and a great addition to any collection. 90210 no not the new one the old one it's the sixth season this week on DVD as well. Also a new version of the Spyo came in from the cold available in repackage this week and when it comes to old TV here's my choice season 2 volume 1 of the collected Mod Squad.

Here was another one of those mid 70s week where DC was all over the place we got GI combat number 199 Hercules Unbound still going to number 9 there was House of Mystery number 250 Plastic Man 16 the early days of Mike Grell's Warlord with issue number 5 and Action Comics number 468 at Marvel there was Call the Conqueror number 19 Nova the early days of that at number 6.

Speaking of early Ms Marvel number 2 this week Planet of the Apes magazine was at number 29 at 2001 number 3 and more Kirby on Eternals number 8 and we got Fantastic Four number 179. In the news a massive earthquake in Turkey left thousands dead the price of steel went up sharply and President Ford ordered an investigation and despite objections from Israel the UN

urge for a Palestinian state in the West Bank of the Gaza Strip. In the movies there was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Shout at the Devil, Marathon Man, Across the Great Divide most people though were enjoying the thrills of Carrie. On TV tonight Walden set a Thanksgiving special there was also Beverly Stills and Carol Burnett live at the Met with another special as well.

The Family the very first time on TV Winnie the Pooh and Tigger 2 from Disney and the variety show Van Dyken Company where Dick Plate hosts a bunch of different acts including a great performance from the Spinners. On the radio five guys trying to make the rounds they get into the music business and on the charts but they keep running into the same problem what they do well they turn it

around and made a hit out of it. Going over again audiences would scream at the band come on we love disco play that funky music. So the band wrote a song about it took it to the top of the charts and made it the Billboard Group of the Year.
