I’m in Chicago. I’m doing fine and dandy. Hoping all ya’ll are too!
We seem to have lucked out by spending a lot of time in the eye of the storm. We lost power 4 times – but just for a few minutes each time. The big problem for us has been the rain. With 8 inches of rain so far and still raining, our septic is flooded, so we can’t use water for flushing or shower in our house without just dumping everything into the basement. Frankly, I don’t even like to say the word, “dump”. But the septic should drain in a few days. We got off easy.
I’m here! I’m fine! Parents in NJ lost power & trees, but that’s the worst I’ve heard from my posse so far.
