A Haunting in the Hammocks

Set against the quiet beauty and shifting light of the North Carolina coast, A Haunting in the Hammocks is a supernatural mystery about love and loss, belonging, and the fragile boundary between past and present.

When Sarah arrives for a summer in the quaint coastal town of Beaufort, she expects a relaxing family vacation. Instead, she finds herself drawn to an abandoned house at the end of a dirt road – a place steeped in local lore and long-buried secrets. As she uncovers the history surrounding the house, Sarah begins to sense that the past has not fully released its hold, and that some stories demand to be remembered.

Blending coastal folklore, historical intrigue, and a subtle thread of romance, A Haunting in the Hammocks unfolds as a quiet, atmospheric mystery where memory lingers, grief echoes across generations, and a haunting refuses to fade. Thoughtful and evocative, the novel explores how the places we love can shape us – and how the past, once awakened, can change everything.
