All About Ruggy, Scrappy, and Me

All About Ruggy, Scrappy, and Me is a participatory book for beginning readers, especially those at a second-grade reading level. It can also be helpful for older children learning English as a non-native language. It is unique in that it combines the pictures and narrative of a storybook, the dialogues of a comic book, the interactive content of an activity book, and the personalization of a scrapbook. The main characters are animal puppets and the readers themselves. The activities include cutouts for paper crafting, drawings for coloring, lines for writing practice, mazes, word puzzles, and more! The book is designed to encourage self-expression, make learning fun, and, most of all, tell a young person’s story.
