Awakening: Guardian from Trandor Series #1

Kiara has no knowledge of the power she holds.

Kiara carries the Guardian blood of her ancestors, but orphaned as a small child, she has no knowledge of the power she holds. As she travels through space aboard the Acadia, with the help of new friends and allies, she’ll discover her new power and find an inner strength she didn’t know she had.
When the Acadia is pulled into battle, Kiara’s newfound power will help to save them, but it will also attract the attention of ancient enemies and corrupt governments. Kiara must work with the crew of the Acadia and her new allies to not only save herself, but also to protect those she loves.
