Classical Comics Teaching Resource Pack: The Tempest

The Tempest, with its vibrant characters like the sorcerer Prospero, the magical sprite Ariel, and the twisted Caliban, and its colorful island setting and dramatic plot, is one of Shakespeare’s most alluring plays. In this teaching resource, Kornel Kossuth shows young readers how to appreciate this work in a series of activities and exercises that explore Shakespeare’s use of language, history, drama, and art. Illustrator Jon Haward brings these themes — and the exciting story — to life with vivid artwork. The guide can be used with any edition of The Tempest.
