Crimson Lancer: Book 1: The Nine

Deciding what to do with one’s life is never easy, but learning you were never meant to have a choice is definitely worse. Kana Iwasaki learns on her 20th birthday that she isn’t meant to be someone, but rather a battery for the nine most powerful beings in the universe.

Running and fighting to stay one step ahead of those that have waited millennia for her, she must discover the truth about the power within her. And ultimately, Kana must face what she is and decide what to do with her life: surrender to her destiny of enslavement, spend the rest of her life running, or stand in the light and be something Super.
