Dark Vintage Compact Selects .1: Astra Zero

Astra Zero – Dark Vintage Compact Selects .1

Astra Zero presents Compact Selects .1: fourteen curated artworks from his Dark Vintage series in a smaller, accessible paperback format. Designed for wider distribution, this edition offers an curated selection of works from the standard Dark Vintage books, with a more restrained approach, while preserving the collection’s gothic atmosphere and focus on the male form.

Drawing from historical imagery and classical composition, each piece reinterprets the past through a contemporary queer lens, emphasizing mood, tension, and beauty. The result is a cohesive visual experience that stands on its own, distinct from the larger-format Selects editions.

Created as a smaller sample sized alternative to the Dark Vintage collection books, Compact Selects .1 invites viewers to engage with the work in a more intimate format.
