David and the Bodega Bully: A Modern-Day David and Goliath Story

Description

A Giant Shadow. A Small Voice. A Neighborhood Changed.

For twelve-year-old David Soto, the corner bodega was always more than just a store-it was a sanctuary of snacks and neighborhood stories. But ever since the man they call “Goliath” took over, the bells on the door no longer chime with a welcome. They ring with a warning.

Gregory “Goliath” Elias is six-and-a-half feet of pure intimidation, and he’s turned David’s favorite hangout into a place of fear. While the rest of the neighborhood looks the other way, David begins to notice shady behavior that suggest the new manager is hiding a secret far bigger than his temper.

Caught between the memory of his grandmother’s courageous words and the terrifying reality of standing up to a man twice his size, David must decide: Will he stay silent to stay safe? Or will he find the strength to protect the community he loves?

A modern-day retelling of a timeless classic, David and the Bodega Bully is a high-stakes journey about faith, friendship, and the bravery it takes to face the giants in our own backyards.
