Dead Unburied

The COMICS FROM THE GONE WORLD series lurches on with DEAD UNBURIED — Michael Aitch Price’s uproarious compilation of 1950s horror comics, preserved and vandalized with the most absurd imposed dialogue this side of WHAT’S UP, TIGER LILY? or WAITING FOR GODOT, whichever comes first. Great White Hunter Frank Buck turns zombie master to “bring ’em back alive.” A grammatically obsessed vampire punishes bad spellers. Crooked undertakers get their comeuppance to the frenzied cry of “Yerkus mazerkus!” And disembodied wraiths cavort throughout 150 pages of ghastly mirth and horrid hilarity. The GONE WORLD of pre-censorship comic books reasserts itself with an absurd vengeance.
