Female Force: Carol Burnett

From a childhood shaped by poverty and instability to redefining television comedy through discipline and collaboration, Carol Burnett’s journey is marked by attention, generosity, and craft. This graphic biography follows her path through Broadway, television, personal loss, and reinvention, showing how laughter became both a profession and a means of survival. Rather than chasing the spotlight or legacy, Burnett built spaces where people felt safe enough to fail, to listen, and to be honest. Even after fame, grief, and decades of change, she continues to choose presence over comfort and work over nostalgia. This is a portrait of endurance built not on invincibility, but on curiosity, care, and the decision to keep showing up.
