God of Pazhani

Description

Palani Murugan Temple, nestled in the township of Palani, is one of India’s most revered Murugan temples and a significant Arupadaiveedu of Lord Muruga. According to legend, a divine contest for a mango of wisdom given by Sage Narada led to Lord Ganesha winning the prize by declaring his parents, Shiva and Shakti, as his universe. Feeling deceived, Lord Murugan retreated to Palani Hill, establishing his abode there. This tale underscores themes of wisdom, devotion, and the profound love within the divine family.
