Going Once, Going Twice: A Story About a Lost Child

Toronto, 1964. A child disappears. A family breaks. A community changes forever.

Going Once, Going Twice is a haunting graphic novel that follows the profound impact of a young boy’s disappearance-told through the eyes of those who loved him, those who searched for him, and those who carried his memory tirelessly.

Inspired by real events involving missing and stolen children, this powerful fictional graphic novel’s narrative takes readers on an emotional journey from the towers of Bay Street’s financial district to northern Ontario’s remote mining camps, from Yorkville Village to Toronto Island, and into Indigenous communities where ancient wisdom offers unexpected paths toward understanding.

The story, along with its powerful artwork spanning 252 pages, isn’t just a mystery-it’s a meditation on loss, hope, and the lifelong search for answers that may never come. It’s a tribute to every family who has waited, wondered, and refused to stop believing in the power of hope.
