He is the spontaneous and unfiltered “community grandpa” of our childhoods, with an unequivocal love for tea. And then there is his daughter Luul; Queen of WhatsApp chain messages, original designer of the hijabi bluetooth, and only lets her kids go outside to go to school or the library. Grandpa Ali & Friends explores the multi-faceted experiences of the immigrant family through layered storytelling, and juxtaposing intergenerational relationships.
