Jaydi’s Story #2: Prudence

A timid teenager in East Africa faces the daunting challenge of standing up to the most powerful leaders in her divided village to protect her brother and herself. Complicating matters are Western missionaries, whose presence interferes with the village leaders’ schemes to maintain power and eradicate all foreign influence. Many villagers also distrust the Western visitors, believing they have only brought trouble in their post-colonial state. Unbeknownst to them, greater dangers lurk in the hidden secrets of the Bush.

In Prudence, Book Two of Jaydi’s Story, Jaydi struggles to balance the heavy responsibilities placed on her with the simple desire to fit in as a normal teenager-starting with attending a local game. She’s long dismissed the idea of being like the other girls; her life is far too complicated, shadowed by the burdens of her past. But an unexpected turn of events makes her want to reconsider.
