You’ll find cartoons about Salvation Army officers even though he’s not an officer, and you’ll find cartoons about brass bands and songsters even though he can’t play a horn or sing too well. Bob Swanson created his “Mustard Seeds” cartoon strip in 1997 and it appears monthly in the Central Connection, a publication of The Salvation Army Central Territory. Since 2016 it has also appeared in The Officer, a publication for the ordained ministers of the Salvation Army that is distributed in 131 countries.
