The Eccentric Explorer (O Explorador Excêntrico): A Jungle Tale

In the early 20th century, a team of explorers follow a war veteran on his search for an ancient city, lost somewhere in the Amazon Jungle. But with a leader like Percy, who knows what will happen next? Some say Percy knows all the secrets of the forest, but is he even sane? Did he really kill a monster that’s supposed to be extinct? Which of his fellow wanderers does he really care about? Who will make it out alive?

This tale of historical fiction combines details from various expeditions of the man some call the world’s last true explorer and condenses them down into one exciting story with some travellers of incompatible personalities thrown in for the entertainment value. Even if your child isn’t learning Portuguese, this book still contains plenty to inspire the imagination and set a young mind off on many more learning adventures.

#231 in the Bilingual Legends series: This book is in both English & Brazilian Portuguese.
