The Original, Catastrophe: Book Two, The Heroes By Choice Series

After seventy years of lost time, Elizabeth Summers-better known as Solaris-is finally settling into the modern world. But adapting to smartphones and foiling empowered thieves is nothing. The greatest horror time has thrown at her?

Modern air travel!

With her loyal companion Penny, and the ever sardonic Granny Ruan, Solaris heads to Las Vegas, seeking fun, purpose, and potential allies at a hidden desert school for those whose powers are as much burden as gift.

Drawn to her like moths to flame, misfits and dreamers begin to rally around Solaris, forming a new kind of family. But beneath the neon glow of the Las Vegas Strip danger simmers. Chimera-the living Catastrophe and Solaris’s oldest enemy-lurks in the shadows, waiting to strike.

As the desert heats up and loyalties are tested, Solaris must trust her new allies to stand against the chaos. Can this found family prove that being better is a choice worth fighting for?
