The Waves of Hurt

Following the death of one of his dads, Vincent is left with emotions he’s never felt before. The HURT is too big and Vincent is lost in the RED of his pain and anger-that is, until he meets The Helping Heroes. Together they uncover Vincent’s superpowers, helping him take control of the RED and use his big feelings for good.

In his fourth book of the Just Like a Hero series, Vladimir Sainte’s The Waves of Hurt teaches readers ways to better communicate their fears and struggles when mourning the death of a loved one. Through engaging storytelling and illustrations, Sainte takes readers on a hero’s journey to finding their inner strength, while providing children with a relatable and approachable way of managing grief.
