The Baby-Sitter’s Club: Kristy’s Great Idea By Raina Telgemeier 180 page, Scholastic Graphix, $10.99 With the well-deserved success of Raina Telgemeier’s original graphic novels, it makes perfect sense for Scholastic to re-release her earlier efforts, adaptations of Ann M. Martin’s Baby-Sitters Club novels. Wisely, they freshened the 2006 material with added color from Braden Lamb…
So I just got back from Awesome Con DC 2015, and happily, it lived up to its name once again, because it was pretty darned awesome! It was also kind of interesting to realize that every year I’ve gone has been a different experience, thanks to what I was doing each year. The first year,…
Everybody stay calm! It’s happening!
You’ll have to acca-scuse us for our excitement over Pitch Perfect 2. The Elizabeth Banks directed musical comedy did not disappoint in giving us even more quotable lines and mash-ups to sing. Here’s our Tweeks review, but don’t worry — we leave the singing to Rebel Wilson & Anna Kendrick in this video!

We don’t know a single thing about this new Doctor Who monster, set to appear in Series 9. Isn’t that EXCITING?

As Tweeks! viewers know, Raina Telgemeier is one of our all-time favorite authors, so we were excited from the second we heard she would be writing another book about the autobiographical characters from Smile. And then when we found it was called Sisters?! How much more perfect does it get, right? So, the question is,…

We’ve put off homework and started our summer reading early with the new-to-us [[[Polly & The Pirates]]] books and the actually brand new [[[Princess Ugg]]] issue #1, both from Oni Press. Both have a few of our favorite things in common: fierce girl characters, boarding schools, and Ted Naifeh, but don’t think these are strictly…
Apropos for Memorial Day: A thought-provoking piece that could just as easily be titled “The Birth of the Kid That Grows Up By Becoming A Hero”.
