The very first ComicMix Video Podcast us up and available for you right now! We videotaped the ComicMix panel at the Pittsburgh Comicon – GrimJack artist Timothy Truman, Jon Sable Freelance writer/artist Mike Grell, filmmaker and EZ Street writer Robert Tinnell, Munden’s Bar artist Chris Burnham, and ComicMix E.I.C. Mike Gold. In this first installment, we focus on the two Mikes: Gold’s massive floating head reveals important clues about our future, and Grell sings a cappella. You won’t believe your eyes!

www.ComicMix.com Our Week's Now people have been asking us just what is ComicMix? Well you've seen the news, you've heard our broadcast, but is there going to be more? The answer is a resounding yes, and that was reinforced recently that Pittsburgh Comic Con had an exclusive ComicMix panel.

If you've seen the ComicMix website, which is oddly enough, ComicMix.com go figure. You've probably seen our columns written by people like Martha Thomas is here, Jenny O'Neill. But what does that have to do with the guys up here on the panel? Well, let's see if you can connect the dots. It just so happens, in order, Mr. Truman is drawing a gorgeous, brand new,

bird-tack graphic novel that will be published as a graphic novel probably next year, but will be seen before that. Mike Grell, let me do the one with the tits and ass on it. Mike Grell is doing a brand new Jon Sable freelance graphic novel, which similarly will be seen before that.

Bob Zannell here at Mark Wheatley, our tooling series that is much less said here at Pittsburgh, called Easy Street. Mr. Burnham over here is doing a Monday's Bar story, and hopefully a new series that we can talk about someday in the future, in your future. Other Monday's Bar people include folks like Skip Williamson and Jay Lynch,

the underground masters from the late 60s and 70s. I want to say coming out of retirement, that's not quite true. Jay Lynch has been doing quacky decks with Artie Spiegelman for tops for the last 200 years. Skip is just not comfortable bypass surgery, so he has a good excuse for not having done much in count. Joe State is doing a Monday's Bar story, and Bill Lopes is doing another Monday's Bar story for us.

Mark Hemphill is doing a Monday's Bar story. So that series from the back of Jack comics, the first comics days, is coming back. Let me plug IDW, they're doing the reprints on the Jon Sable one, and the GrimJack stories from the first days, as well as the Monday's Bar anthology with all those artists and more, including Brian Ball.

We're doing a new series by Trevor Fundy, easily the best work in his career. So when I say they're going to be in print as graphic novels, but they'll appear beforehand, I'm saying we're doing this site online about the comics news, and news that's sort of interesting to people who are interested in comics. Because you know, whose drawing makes fun Spider-Man is well-commented by a lot of different good websites.

So we're dealing with a more popular culture that's surrounded. You might be able to make a connection, but even that is just the tip of the iceberg.
