Today the CW Network announced that it has renewed Smallville for an eighth season, which will begin airing in the fall. This announcement removes the doubt that was surrounding Smallville‘s ultimate fate after a strike shortened season.
I’ve always thought that Smallville could last up to 8 seasons.
4 seasons for the high school years, and 4 seasons for the college – pre Superman years.
Now, they’ll have to start wrapping up all the storylines to line up with the movies and having Clark learning how to fly near the end of the series.
Well, okay, but if they keep renewing the show, they’re going to start having some real issues to deal with, such as how Lois and Lex can have had a personal relationship with Clark Kent prior to his arrival at Metropolis, and NOT know there’s something up with him always disappearing.
But whatever. As long as he shows up in costume for the last episode, I’ll be good.
I'd settle for having some sort of direction, which it has lacked from the get-go.
