Hi, it's Mike Raub. You know what had to happen. Tina Fey not withstanding. There's a new Sarah Palin comic that'll be coming out, but not when you think it is. Kind of a twist ending to it too, and we'll explain the whole thing. Coming up on October 25th. 2008. ComicMix U. Set a little free time aside tomorrow, Boomerang is going to host Bed Rock and Roll, which is a marathon tribute to the best musical moments of the Flintstones.
With 15 favorite episodes of the series, it'll run all day tomorrow, starting 8 in the morning until 11 at night. Best part of the marathon of course is some of those great special guests that appeared in those episodes. That includes Ann-Margaret, James Derren, Hoagie Carmichael, and a lot more. And again, it starts on Boomerang at 8 Eastern tomorrow morning. Transformers is about to become a 3D HD theme park attraction for Universal Studios in Hollywood.
It'll be based on the live action Transformers movie, the one directed by Michael Bay. The rides are set to debut first at the Singapore Park in 2010, and then in 2011 they'll be here in the US at the Hollywood Park. Right now plans for the storyline include for humans to be caught in the middle of the intergalactic war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. All works out just in time for the Transformers sequel Revenge of the Fallen, which will debut in the US on June of 2009. World Wrestling Entertainment has launched a new site, Safe for Kids, called www.ekids.com.
It's aimed at youngsters between the ages of 6 and 14. It's designed to connect young fans to the WWE universe and to interact with their favorite superstars. There's a play area offering applications like Kids TV featuring videos and such, and the Kids launch is being supported with a cross-platform marketing effort, both on the other website, www.e It's also a Kids magazine from the WWE. It was launched in 2008, and it still appears on a regular monthly basis, sold in Walmart, Toys R Us, and other retailers. The big news for pop culture collectors involved a brand new master toy license deal with Mattel that starts in 2010 and could bring back the golden age of wrestling action figures. There's more additions to the never-ending list of new series headed toward the Cartoon Network, including one based on the Kids Horror Book series, Nasty Book.
There's also stuff coming along based on Tiger's Apprentice, the comic book title Fire Breather, which will be animated, a live-action Vantager, and the best news of all, an animated mice Templar direct from comics. Production and air date should be coming along soon from the Cartoon Network. The new Terminator series from Dynamic Forces is now being called Terminator Revolutions. It was originally announced over the summer as Terminator Infinities. The story picks up after the events at the end of the original Terminator Infinity series, where a temporal Terminator created by Skynet to fix fluctuations in the time stream is sent to kill Tara, the wife of Resistance leader John Connor. Terminator Infinities premieres sometime over the next month or so in comic shops from Dynamic Forces.
Now it's her turn. There's a new comic involving Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee. Palin's life story running from when she was a PTA president to the Alaska governorship. Her surprise nomination as John McCain's running mate is all part of the story in the new announced female force comic. But the twist here is they're not going to write a final chapter yet. The comic is scheduled for a February 2009 release a month after Inauguration Day, and there's going to be two different endings prepared for the print.
One if McCain and Palin are successful in their bid for the White House, and another if they're not. The 32 page book promises to be an even handed perspective of Palin's life and accomplishments, and again will be in comic stores in February 2009. ComicMix Radio. Darwyn Cooke's new project, Parker, on the way from IDW has caused quite a bit of interest for a number of different reasons. First of all, after coming off with the spirit and JLA New Frontier, everybody wants to see what's next from Darwin.
It also is important because it brings into comics a character that's had a long history in crime novels and on the big screen as well. Darwin explains just why Parker is so compelling. He's so incredibly compelling as a character. Once you start to get into it, I found I couldn't put this stuff down. And to this day, it's still my favorite crime novels ever. Now, you still may not recognize the name, but Parker's been on the big screen in a couple of different ways.
Parker's already had a pretty illustrious career in film. Again, now one of my favorite crime movies is a film called Point Blank with Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson. It's a masterpiece and it's based on the first Parker novel, The Hunter. Payback, the Gibson movie, is also based on a Parker book. Not quite as good a movie, maybe. Not quite an accurate interpretation of the character.
Let's see, Robert Duvall's The Outfit is a Parker story as well. And actually, the author is Academy Award nominated screenwriter himself. He wrote the screenplay for The Grifters. So would Darwin be interested in getting involved in another Parker adventure on the big screen or even on a direct to DVD basis? I would love to see us be able to put something together.
You know, it's just for the first little while we better concentrate on the books. All right, so how about the future? More JLA New Frontier, more Parker, or is Darwin headed in a different direction? I think everything else I'm going to be gearing up for in that respect is creator-owned work. There's a couple things I've got of my own that I've been putting together now for the last three, four years. And those hold my interest to a great extent.
ComicMix Radio! ComicMix timeline, October 25th. 1995! In the comic stores this week, remember the great impulse series? Well, we were up to issue number nine of that. I'd forgotten about the DC's adventure into the world of Judge Dredd.

Okay, Lunchbox, let's try this again. You tidy the roof and you jump off and you set like a spitfire, passing right over the Arch Nemesis before us. You then swing up to the stage and knock out the pin. When that's gone, the stage is trashed and we go smoke a bowl. You got it? Now get your fat ass up there.
And dude, don't forget your helmet. Snug it. Destined for a big life on DVD was Kevin Smith's Mall Rats. TV Tonight had episodes of Brother They Love, Hope, and Gloria. There was Beverly Hills 90210, bless this house. I'd Cagney and Lacey Reunion on CBS, but right before that…
