Possibly the very best thing for science fiction fans about the so-called digital publishing revolution is the tremendously lowered bar to entry. Concepts and approaches that traditional publishers might deem too risky to fly in the fickle retail market are finding new life on platforms like Amazon Kindle and [[[Smashwords]]]. Take, for example, [[[The Scattered…
I met Drew Friedman in 1990 through a long-standing friendship with his brother and then-frequent collaborator, the songwriter and social critic Josh Alan Friedman, while we were attending a cartoonists’ convention in Dallas as working artists and comic-book developers. Drew had built a reputation within the industry as a meticulously lifelike portraitist, capable of arraying…
In some world that is not precisely our own – maybe the near future, maybe an alternate present – an island nation has an autocratic, near-fascist government. There is, of course, a revolutionary group aiming to overthrow that regime, which includes violent activities. It is not the UK, exactly. But it is very much like…
As author of For One Week Only: The World of Exploitation Films (as featured in People magazine and the National Enquirer [when the National Enquirer was the National Enquirer]) and the original head writer for Fangoria magazine, don’t get me wrong: I love horror films. Of course what I’m dealing with in this installment are…
This is the week where the Final Fate of many TV shows is dealt out – and there’s actually good news – in fact a LOT of it! Plus something green is singing and dancing on Broadway, and it isn’t Shreck and STAR TREK blasts forward for another big BO weekend. PRESS THE BUTTON to…
I think many of us suspect that there’s something fundamentally wrong with the fact that just about everybody reading this knows of the recent exploits of Paris Hilton. If you’re at all attuned to media old and new, it’s nearly impossible to escape the breathless news about her latest adventures in crime and punishment, or…

I scored an 8.
I got a 7
I scored 291. Not bad for a color blind guy.
I scored about a 30. I have no idea how good that is. At then end it had a screen for comparing your score to others, but all that had was the high and low scores for people my age. That's not useful. It's a neat test, though. When I first looked at it I thought it was like a hardcore version of an eye exam.
Damn. I scored a 15. Since each of my eyes sees colors differently (there's a slight hue divergence; one eye sees things more sharply, skewed to the blue, the other sees things more warmly, skewed to the red), I was trying to double-eye it; looking with one eye only, then the other. Had I not been going for speed, I think I would have realized that a triple-eye look would have been better: Just one eye, then both, then just the other.
I score a 94. Oh the shame of 8-bit color eyes!
I scored a 14. I thought that was pretty good.
I scored a 84.
I got a zero! No, really. Gimme those crayons – Marvel, here I come!
I scored a 10. Not too bad!
I scored a perfect 0. Then again, I think I better have.
Way to go Marc!
27. I think I'll stick to words.
I got 153. Since I was told the highest score for my age/gender group was 1520, I'm guessing that's not very good.
I scored a 78 – but I think I'm going to blame my crappy monitor
I scored a 7. Doesn't seem too bad.
I scored a 4. I'm pretty impressed.
Nice work to all of you who got zeroes. I got a 7. Better than I expected.Very interesting link, Glenn.
I got 127. And I'm color blind. ): But that's bullshit; I'm coloring comics and I dare anyone try and stop me. =P
You wouldn't be the first color-blind comic artist to color comics. Howard Chaykin might be the all-time champ in that regard.
My color vision is 0 (perfect)! That makes me happy because I am a colorist! If anyone needs a colorist plz contact me. I am looking for work! Based on your information, below is how your score compares to those of others with similar demographic information. * Your score: 0 * Gender: Male * Age range: 20-29 * Best score for your gender and age range: -4 * Highest score for your gender and age range: 15200 ( Perfect )99 ( High )
I got a 4! Not bad, I guess. hehehehe. I'm a 30 years old female colorist 🙂
I got a 20. I suspect that, under better conditions (including using a monitor that's not ten years old and bought second-hand for $50), i might have done better. But maybe not. I'm bookmarking it for whan i *do* manage to get a better monitor.
* Your score: 4 * Male, 40-49 Second try: first try was a 45. Experience helps?
