As HR, data, and legal leaders uncover evidence of overuse, burnout, and declining well-being, they work with a corporate psychologist to assess organizational health, introduce guardrails such as in-game warnings and policies on breaks, and reframe addiction as a treatable disease that demands empathy and structured support rather than stigma.

The story zooms in on CEO Nathan, who becomes the human face of burnout as he grapples with the ethical tension between the company’s explosive growth and the human cost of constant engagement, ultimately deciding to step down rather than simply take a vacation or sabbatical.
