ComicMix TV: The ‘Hellboy II’ Ron Perlman Interview

No Hellboy interviews are complete without talking to the titular character himself. Ron Perlman’s name has been on the lips of just about any comic book or television fan since the mid ’80s. In a fun interview with Perlman, we got to ask him about his evolution as Hellboy, his interest in comic books, and his thoughts on returning to the 1980s TV show Beauty and the Beast (at this interviewer’s expense).

‘Hellboy II: The Golden Army’ Trailer Online

Yahoo Movies has posted the first trailer for Hellboy II: The Golden Army

The trailer features all the things you’d expect from a Hellboy adaptation and a Guillermo del Toro film: huge monsters, fantastic art direction, action-packed fights and plenty of grumblings from the big red hero.

The sequel to 2004’s Hellboy, the film follows the B.P.R.D. as they attempt to once again save the world and protect innocent people from magical creatures. There are no evil Nazi experiments this time, but the crazy creatures more than make up for it.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army hits theaters July 11 and stars Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones and John Hurt.

More ‘Hellboy 2’ Production Videos Hit the ‘Net

Universal Pictures has added two new Hellboy II: The Golden Army production videos to the film’s official website. The first video highlights the very first meeting to discuss creature design and the second features a meeting of the production team to discuss the design of Johann Kraus.

The Hellboy sequel features many of the same cast from the first film including Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones and John Hurt, and tells the story of a rebellion against humanity that Hellboy and his team must stop in order to save the world.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army opens July 11th.

Hellboy: Blood and Iron premieres on Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network will premiere Hellboy: Blood and Iron, the second feature Hellboy animated feature film, on March 17 at 7 PM Eastern.  The movie features the voices of a number of the actors that appeared in director Guillermo del Toro’s live-action Hellboy movie including John Hurt, Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones. Tad Stones and Victor Cook direct the movie. Guillermo del Toro and Mike Mignola are creative producers.

The second Hellboy live action movie is scheduled for 2008, and a third animated feature is in finishing stages.
