A few forthcoming DVD announcements caught our eye and we share them with you as the holiday season rapidly approaches.

Many people complaint that some serialized shows are tough to follow given their serialized nature. Complex ones, such as Alias or Lost, certainly have shed viewers who miss even one episode and get confused when they tune back in. These days, DVD box sets help a lot but not everyone likes to buy or even rent these.
Holy time-wimey, wibbly-wobbily bits, Doctor! It looks like the BBC/Sci-Fi Channel schedules got the best of us here at ComicMix, so in the interest of preventing any more spoilers, we’re pulling this article off the site and re-posting it on Monday , April 28.

In what is certain to be received with shock and awe, the vaguely innovative Sci-Fi Channel is going to precede the November 24th broadcast of the two-hour Battlestar Galactica teevee movie Razor with a bunch of two-to-three minute "mini-sodes" (their term, not mine) that will "provide background and context" for the movie special and, no doubt, help round-out their DVD release.
According to Broadcasting & Cable magazine, the Sci Fi Channel will be launching a two-hour anime block on Monday nights starting on June 11 from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Yep, that’s right up mear-daily against Adult Swim’s manga block.
