Hi, it's the middle of the week. Welcome to the podcast. It is me, Mike Raub, this day. We're going to take you into the dark part of the theater. We got somebody who I think you're going to want to meet. She's spooky, she's sweet, and she's got something to share as well. We're going to tell you about some stuff you thought were coming in the comics.

That's not going to be there. And a whole lot of the news to share on this. March 1st, 2007 ComicMix, News We told you a little bit ago about the problems coming up in Superman with some content changes due to deadline problems.

Now here's the exact scoop. Superman 660, written by Kurt Busiek, will have art by Mike Manley and Brett Blevins. And a cover by one of Kurt's old buddies, James Fry, as well. This issue looks at somebody who's popped in and out of Superman for a long time, the prankster returns, when Superman 660 hits the stores on the 14th of March.

Then, just two weeks later on the 28th, you'll be able to pick up Superman 661, featuring a story written by Kurt and Richard Howell, with art by Richard Howell, featuring one of Richard's favorite characters to draw, and he does a great job with the two, Wonder Woman. And then in Superman number 662, it's the start of the five-part miniseries Camelot Falls. That arrives in stores on the 11th of April, so keep track of that.

www.ComicMix.com Comedy Central has a new late-night show coming around about 2 a.m. in the morning. It's going to be called Web Shows. And when it debuts, it'll feature, well, you guessed it, shows originally developed for the Internet, or specifically for Comedy Central's site, Motherload.

According to the people of The Hollywood Reporter, the 30-minute show is scheduled to premiere on Mondays, it'll air once a week, and the content's going to range from about 8 or 9 little movies, each averaging 2 or 3 minutes each, as well as the Adam-filled Webisode series, punk group Fat Girls on Bicycles. We'll let you know more after we see it.

The self-proclaimed Rocky of Comedy, known for his macho limericks and a lot more, Andrew Dice Clay is back with a new seven-episode series on VH1. This is going to be called Dice Undisputed. Don't miss Muffet sat on a tuffet. Eating a curd's and weighing.

Won't came a spite, he sat down beside, he said, hey, what's in the bowl? The series starts in a few days on March 4th at 10 o'clock with two new piggybacked episodes. It came out of retirement with a new book, a record, a serious radio show, live stand-up gigs, and now this, who says anybody ever really goes away? Well, in the tradition of the great old monster movies and theaters,

the folks at After Dark are doing their second annual horror fest, 8 Films to Die For. And they're going to be invading theaters on a monthly basis too as well. And we call out with very sultry Black Betty, better known as Miss Horror Fest, who gave us all the scoop. Horror Fest is a very new festival of horror films. Our first year was last year and it was so successful that this year is even bigger and better.

Not only are we having another festival in November of eight different horror films that are previously unreleased, but we're releasing a horror film a month in a wide release theatrically. Does After Dark actually produce and own these films? No, no. These are films that we have found. These are other producers, but we've taken them under the After Dark, you know, producing credit.

So now there are. Alright, what's on the lineup for this year's horror fest? This year they haven't been chosen yet. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, those are the films, the list that you saw are the films that we're releasing every month, starting with The Abandon, which opens today.

The Abandon, we're doing The Skinwalkers in March, and then David Arquette's horror movie that he wrote and directed called The Tripper, and that's in April. And our next film in May is Captivity, and Seers People in July, and Risk Cutters in August. And then of course in November will be the eight films to die for. I know that TV star David Arquette has a film that's included in here. What part of that are you doing?

We just got FedExed in his trailer to the movie. Actually, I believe it's already up on the website. If you go to horrorfestonline.com. If we can't make it to horror fest, can we catch your stuff at the DVD store? Oh yeah, of course. Yeah, actually, there's a DVD coming out in March. That's all of the eight films from last year's horror fest.

You know, Black Betty is not just a pretty voice. You can see her on the website, horrorfestonline.com, in their big spoof trailer. And when you do, you might notice she makes a pretty darn nice scream queen herself. However, I had to do it. I asked her to prove it. Yikes, I felt that way after the New York Comic Convention.

Well, in comics this week, it was Ultimates, Ultimates, Ultimates. They were still riding high with Ultimate X-Man number four.

That turned up in our bag when we went to the store, as well as Ultimate Spider-Man number seven. We got the first issue of Daredevil Yellow and Fathom Killian number one. And the JLA Black Baptism miniseries was rolling along, as well as Rising Stars with number 15 still doing great for image. And yet another issue of Tomb Raider with one of those zillion covers that we never figured out.

On TV, the mole was running on ABC and mistrust among the C-list abounded. Who wants to be a millionaire was riding high about every other night as the way it seemed. We still had Buffy and Angel to escape to on the WB. And Star Trek Voyager on UPN along with the forgotten little science fiction show I always liked called Seven Days. In theaters, it was a usual slow march with forgettable releases like 3000 Miles to Graceland,

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and at the top, this scary guy. The FBI. Those people you despise almost as much as they despise you. I'll give you a medal, Clarice, do you think? Would you have it professionally framed and hanging on your wall to look at and remind you of your courage and incorruptibility?

All you would need for that, Clarice, is a mirror. On the car radio was a group that I assume took their name from the beer. We never asked him. It was the Kors. Go on, go on, leave me breathless. Come on.
